Spidey Reboots ....Again

Columbia Pictures has picked up Marc Webb to direct the next Spider-Man film since Sam Raimi has left the franchise. The new film will be a "reboot", having Peter Parker back in high school.

How many times has Marvel re-invented Spider-Man now? Don't get me wrong, I have respect for the character - I think he's great, but this is getting a bit out of hand. I have a feeling that this new movie is going to adapt tales from the "Ultimate Spider-Man" comic series which updated the character 10 years ago and put Peter back to his hero origins while he was still in school.

Spider-Man's Spectacular DVD Set

Sony Pictures has finally announced The Spectacular Spider-Man: The Complete 1st Season 2-disc DVD set will be released this July.

The collection will contain all 13 episodes from the already released single-disc titles plus 2 all-new featurettes that go behind-the-scenes.

The modern animated series based on Marvel Comics' web-slinger has not 1, but 2 new DVD releases hitting shelves in March '09!

Spectacular DVD in September

The Spectacular Spider-Man is coming!The new series will have it's first DVD release on September 9th which will contain 3 episodes pieced together into a feature length story arc.

A Taste of The Spectacular Spider-Man

Haven't heard much about the brand new series starring everyone's favorite wall crawler?
Well, it begins in March and is called The Spectacular Spider-Man. From what I've read, the new series boasts strong character designs and fluid animation. Let's hope the stories entertain as much as these images!
