Warner Home Video has announced yet another Tom & Jerry DVD set.

The famous animation director Chuck Jones took over production of the Tom and Jerry series at MGM in 1963 until 1967.The 2-disc set Tom and Jerry - The Chuck Jones Collection will feature 34 shorts and two new documentaries. Expect to see it this June!

Pink Panther Classic Cartoon Collection Press Release

TVshowsonDVD.com has received the press release for the 9-Disc set of the original cartoon series that will be available January 27th.

In addition to the collection, 6 out of 9 discs will be available individually but I think unfortunately they're the last 3 which haven't been available already. (The Inspector Vol 2, Roland and Ratfink and "Cartoons")

New "Pink Panther" Series in 2009

It seems that MGM and Cartoon Network has teamed up to produced a brand new 26-episode half-hour television series called "Pink Panther and Pals" to premiere in 2009.

According to this 2006 image, this new series was originally designed with "baby" characters in mind, but now the series will feature "teenage" versions of the Pink Panther clan.Of course this isn't the first time the Pink Panther has been revived with an animated series.
In 1984, Pink was made a father with 2 sons, Pinky & Panky, in "Pink Panther & Sons".The Panther was finally given a voice thanks to actor Matt Frewer in the 1993 series "The Pink Panther".Will this new series give new life to the Pink Panther characters? Only time will tell...

NYC Goes Looney

The Centennial Tribute show, "Tex Avery, Michael Maltese: Putting Looney in the Toons" will be appearing at The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science during it's usual "Monday Nights with Oscar" series on May 5th.

The Inspector is Back on DVD Schedule
