Just saw Pixar's Toy Story 3 today, what a great film. The opening short Day & Night is now my favorite Pixar short. It looked absolutely amazing in 3D. If you haven't seen the film yet, go check it out!

Can't Keep a Good Series Down
It seems that the Futurama cast did not completely vanish "Into the Wild Green Yonder" which was their fourth and final direct-to-DVD film.Rumors of the series being picked up for 13 new episodes can be read here:

The Art of Pixar Short Films by animation devotee Amid Amidi goes behind the scenes of Pixar's many short films with plenty of interviews and production artwork.

Book Look: Presto!
I finally found a copy of Little Golden Book's version of Disney/Pixar's Presto!
This latest animated short from Pixar Animation is the funniest yet because it is really an homage to the Golden Age of Animation. The slapstick humor and simplistic storyline really make this an enjoyable cartoon.
The Little Golden Book version offers great artwork by Teddy Newton who is one of the talented artists that has worked on various Pixar films and shorts.

Mater to Star in Pixar's "Cars Toons"
The rusty tow truck from the 2005 Pixar film Cars will be the headliner for a 3-part short series set to launch later this fall. The new cartoons will be directed by John Lasseter.http://www.animationmagazine.net/article/8969

Here is yet another gem that was recently released by Little Golden Books, 2007's "Your Friend the Rat".
The Pixar short was released along with the Ratatouille DVD and features quite the retro graphic look and the story book reflects that.
It helps when the images are illustrated by 10 artists: Nate Wragg, Teddy Newton, Scott Morse, Craig Foster, Jeff Pidgeon, Bob Scott, Willy Hwang, Jamie Frye, Sam Marin and Sanjay Patel!
