More New Gadget News
Back in May, there was an announcement here about a new Inspector Gadget series and I haven't heard anything else about it until now.

Inspector-Gadget.net received more news about the upcoming Inspector Gadget series in 2009.

According to their sources, the new series will be a bit darker, give Gadget new sidekicks and they will be battling ghosts.....all the time? Maybe 1, 0r 2 episodes tops? Where's Dr. Claw?
For more conceptual art pieces, follow the link. I will admit that the new designs look pretty cool. I hope the series comes a little close to the original.

More 80's Animation Heading to DVD
TVshowsonDVD.com has gotten word of 2 future DVD sets that Warner Home Video will be releasing in 2009.
1979's Plastic Man Comedy Adventure Hour (link) and the 1985 revival of The Jetsons where they meet their new alien pet, "Orbitty" (link).
I hope this means WHV will be considering more classic Hanna-Barbera shows for the future.
Huckleberry Hound Vol 2 anybody? Or maybe Quickdraw McGraw?

New "Pink Panther" Series in 2009
It seems that MGM and Cartoon Network has teamed up to produced a brand new 26-episode half-hour television series called "Pink Panther and Pals" to premiere in 2009.http://news.toonzone.net/article.php?ID=26543
According to this 2006 image, this new series was originally designed with "baby" characters in mind, but now the series will feature "teenage" versions of the Pink Panther clan.
Of course this isn't the first time the Pink Panther has been revived with an animated series. In 1984, Pink was made a father with 2 sons, Pinky & Panky, in "Pink Panther & Sons".
The Panther was finally given a voice thanks to actor Matt Frewer in the 1993 series "The Pink Panther".
Will this new series give new life to the Pink Panther characters? Only time will tell...
Garfield Returns to TV
According to Mark Evanier's website, "The Garfield Show" will be debuting in 2009 with Frank Welker voicing the lasagna-loving feline.http://www.newsfromme.com/archives/2008_08_20.html#015682
It's great that the fat cat is hitting airwaves again, but if the show sports the "ugly" CG look as the recent DVD films, personally I won't be tuning in.
UP with Pixar
A conceptual image of the next Pixar film has hit the web.
