It seems that just about every new fantasy and sci fi movie is going to be filmed in 3D and now it appears that all the new crop circles are going to be in 3D as well.
Not wanting to be left out of this new 3 dimensional craze crop circle makers, whether Earthly or Unearthly, have now bumped the art of pushing down wheat up a notch or two.
Image the surprise when this 70-meter wide beauty appeared in a wheat field just outside London. In the infamous Clay Hill, Warminster, Wiltshire area to be precise.
The complex image in the field creates a three-dimensional cubed cross design, something that until now has never been seen in crop circle designs.
Are beings from other worlds trying to tell us something? Are they trying to get our attention with a 'trendy' 3-D design? Did they like Avatar?
That is yet to be seen, but most experts believe that this new style of crop circle design is most-likely of a terrestrial origin, namely the handy-work of noted pranksters Doug Bower and Dave Chorley who have created over 200 man-made circles in this area over three decades.
Indeed the area around Warminster has been 'crop circle central' since the 1970s with hundreds of designs appearing in the fields of wheat. Though Bower and Chorley have accounted for many of these strange formations, there are still others that have remained a mystery.
I would expect to see a lot more of these 3-D designs in the near future.
