There are lots of great cartoons on this set, but with the good come some of the bad. It seems that the better cartoons have the traditional 6-minute time frame while the other dragged-out episodes run for the full 20-minutes. The compilation episodes are fun to watch seeing how they parody many music stars and television shows ("Tiny Toon Music Television", "K-ACME TV")."Animaniacs!"
The classic Looney Tunes characters have many cameo appearances through-out the rest of season one, acting as professors of comedy and having slightly bigger roles in certain cartoons ("Duck Dodgers Jr.", "Who Bopped Bugs Bunny?", "Return of Pluck Twacy").
Here are plenty of screen shots to get you animation fans interested in picking up this great cartoon set!"Dapper Diz""Falling to Pizzas""How Sweetie It Is""Love Stinks""K-ACME TV""Bat's All Folks""Slugfest""I was A Teenage Bunnysitter""Tiny Toon Music Television""Venison Anyone?""America's Least Wanted""Son of Looniversity Daze""Duck Dodgers Jr.""Boo-Ha-Ha""High Toon""K-ACME TV""Bear Necessities""And All That Rot""The Return of Pluck Twacy""Here's Hamton""How Sweetie It Is""K-ACME TV"
I assume the next Tiny Toons DVD set will be Season 2: Volume 1? Here's hoping!
Woods of Wisdom
It would seem that pro-golfer Tiger Woods has a new sports beverage on the market known as Gatorade Tiger and is promoting it to the younger generation with a very nice-looking animated spot.
I caught a shorter version of the following commercial the other night and was happy to find the full length version on YouTube.
The spot is directed by Rune Bennicke and Jean Perramon at Pepper Films. Judging by their reel they have done various commercials for Disney, Kelloggs, and other various food companies.

Quackbusters Finally Hits DVD
According to the latest Looney Tunes DVD news on Golden Age Cartoons, the 1988 compilation video feature will be released on DVD this August!

Daffy Duck's Quackbusters is considered by many animation fans to be the best compilation film featuring both classic and modern Looney Tunes animation. The feature was both written and directed by Greg Ford and Terry Lennon who were the last directors to give the Looney Tunes proper treatment by keeping their shorts contempory and keeping true to the classics. Here's a link to an article about their Looney projects from 1992 that describes what work went into Quackbusters, Lunar Tunes, Blooper Bunny plus others that are still sitting in limbo.

The upcoming DVD release will also feature 3 bonus feature animated shorts: Duck Dodgers And The Return of The 24th and 1/2 Century, Superior Duck & Little Go Beep!

Tartakovsky's Sym-Bionic Titan
The creator of such animated hits Dexter's Laboratory and Samurai Jack, will be returning this year with a new series called Sym-Bionic Titan.
http://blog.wired.com/underwire/2009/03/chung-tartakovk.html
Genndy Tartakovsky's new sci-fi series will evolve around three aliens from a war-torn planet who have crashed to Earth only to be swept up into high school while defending the planet. This marks Genndy's return to the small screen since 2003's Clone Wars mini-series which proved so popular it layed the way for the current CG incarnation.
If his past shows are any indication, Sym-Bionic Titan should be full of awesome eye candy.
