I came across an interesting book at the local Dollar Store, included with the Looney Tunes Big Face Books run in 2000, there was a new story called "Peter Cottontail: In Hot Water".
Could this story have been a proposed pilot for an upcoming Warner Bros star? The designs are clearly inspired by the classic Looney Tunes look, (I like Fausto's Daffy cane head).
The copyright mentions, "Peter Cottontail, characters, names and all related indicia are trademarks of Warner Bros 2000".
I wonder if there were any other Peter Cottontail stories produced?

Cartoon Network Shorties
In the earlier days of Cartoon Network, when they actually played classic cartoons, there were mini cartoons, called Shorties, that would play during commercial breaks.
These Shorties would put the classic Hanna-Barbera characters into modern situations using various animation techniques.
And an Adult Swim promo that just cracks me up...

Jetson Animation
Hanna Barbera's The Jetsons have been used in various ad campaigns over the years and here are a few I've found recently. Including the recently released TUMS ad!
(I guess it's safe to say I'm a Jetsons' fan due to the many Jetson-related posts I've had recently, oh well....)

Jiminy Cricket! An Odd Disney Team Up!
I recently posted a story starring Warner Bros stars Bugs Bunny and Cool Cat from an old issue of Gold Key Comics. Well I also found another Golden Magazine Special from 1969, "Walt Disney Comics Digest #7"!
It also features weird team-ups such as this first story starring Jiminy Cricket & Mad Madam Mim with a cameo of everyone's favorite villian, Pete!

Woody Vol 2 Released
Universal Studios had a great product last year with 'The Woody Woodpecker and Friends: Classic Cartoon Collection: Volume 1", http://jedaniels-adventures.blogspot.com/2007/07/woody-woodpecker-and-friends-classic.html
so as of April 15th, they released "The Woody Woodpecker and Friends: Volume 2"!This recent set features Woody Woodpecker cartoons that ran in theaters from 1952 - 1958. Other cartoons starring Walter Lantz's Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, Andy Panda, Chilly Willy, Cartune Classics and Swing Symphonies range from the years 1932 - 1965.
These cartoons also introduced Woody's nephew and niece, "Knothead & Splinter" plus Woody's love interest, "Winnie Woodpecker"!The DVD set also boasts great special features such as "Behind the Scenes with Walter Lantz" where the boss himself takes the audience through every aspect of traditional animated cartoon making, no computers at all folks! There are 2 rare TV pilots featuring "Space Mouse" and "Sam 'n Simian"!The early Oswald cartoons are surprisingly risque full of adult humor which had me laughing. There are great musical cartoons with the animation timed perfectly as which one would expect from the Cartune Classics/Swing Symphonies collection. As the years went by, production values were trimmed down and you can tell with the limited animation and toned-down character designs but the humor and gags remained. With 75 uncut classic cartoons in another DVD collection, how can you go wrong? Will 2009 bring a 3rd collection? I guess only time, and sales, will tell....And now for your viewing pleasure, yet another Teletoon Retro promo featuring a certain crazy woodpecker!
